Hello everyone! Im sorry Ive been very quiet these last few months. Maybe you have enjoyed it ;) First of all, Facebook suspended my account because I went by the name Valkyrie Icelandic and not by my actual name Laura Benson I finally got that resolved and now I am back, much to my dismay, under my birth name. But feel free to follow my page Valkyrie Icelandic ! Second of all, I have been going through some severe personal/physical problems. I dont really want to bring it up, but I want you to all know why I have not been very active in my riding lately. I have been dealing with some severe back issues, ruptured and bulging discs. It happened back in September and I thought I was in the clear after treatment but after 3 weeks of travel, this Monday I had a relapse. At the moment I am still barely able to walk, but I have seen the doctor and am working intensely with my chiropractor and sports acupuncturist as well as a follow up appointment with the doctor on Thursday. This is not a cry for help or sympathy, I dont even like bringing it up, but I just want to let all my clients know that I am doing everything I can to get my back healthy again so I can become fit and strong and be riding with you once again. Sometimes, Valkyries forget they are not invincible. In the meantime, please keep riding for me, I live vicariously through you all!! I am taking this very seriously and I will be back to work the second I am allowed and I will be back with a vengeance! Im not going to let my stupid spine keep me down! Thank you for your patience and support. And seriously, I will be fine. No sympathy, just strength and energy! : )
