Hello everyone. My name is Lynne and for the last four years I have managed The Welcome Organisations homelessness services. This month I am going to cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia. This involves cycling over 400km from Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) to Siem Reap (Cambodia), over 6 days, in temperatures ranging from 25-30ºC. I am doing this to raise funds for The Welcome Organisation. Homelessness has devastating consequences. Every day I witness the negative impact that existing without a home has on the physical and mental health of the people we work to support. But homelessness doesnt mean hopelessness. One of the ways in which we bring hope to those experiencing homelessness is through our activities and educational programmes. I have seen for myself the empowerment that comes with learning and participation in group programmes, and the sense of renewed hope it inspires in people. That is why all of the money raised as part of this challenge will go directly toward activities and programmes. If you can, please consider donating to my page.
