Hello everyone: Our petition below has generated lots of interest and I personally thank all those who have signed and shared this petition. You will be delighted to know Congressman Jose Serrano of Bronx, NYC and Congresswoman Yvette Clarke of Brooklyn, NYC have drafted a letter to President Obama asking him to have immigration reform at the US Africa Summit. That letter known as a Dear Colleague Letter on Immigration Reform at the US Africa Summit in August 2014 has generated 30 yes THIRTY members of the United States Congress have signed on to the petition/letter!!!! They include congressmembers: Serrano, Clarke, Lee, Cárdenas, Moore, Rush, Sires, Meng, Rangel, Hinojosa, Gutierrez, Chu, Lewis, Brown, Payne, Horsford, McGovern, Van Hollen, Jackson Lee, Grijalva, Henry C. Hank Johnson, Fudge, Honda, Polis, Frederica Wilson, Yarmuth, Holmes Norton, Meeks, Christensen. Our goal is to get 50 Members of Congress and 500 Africans/allies to sign the petition.
