Hello everyone sorry for the long gap for a recipe was down with viral and so the absence ☺️😊 Today i m going to post a recipe which is an authentic kongu nadu cuisine HORSE GRAM DHAL ... This is highly recommended for those who are in diet or wanting to reduce weight as horse gram is a natural fat burner. Its is very easy to make in quick time and ofcourse the taste will be enhanced further if u r using Mr. Healtth gingelly oil 😉 HORSE GRAM DHAL ------------------------- INGREDIENTS * horsegram (kollu paruppu) - 1 cup * brinjal - 2 * tomato - 1 * garlic - 8-10 pods *dry red chilli- 4 * curry leaves- 2 strips * coriander and jeera seeds - 1 tsp * mr. Healtth gingelly oil - 3 tbsp * small onions -15 * turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp METHOD * in a pressure cooker take the dhal, add 2 cups of water, brinjal cut into pieces, tomato sliced and garlic pods and cook all of them for 5 whistles and simmer it for 5 mins. Note: horse gram take time to get cooked * in a kadai add mr. Healtth gingelly oil and add the coriander and jeera seeds .. Let them splutter now add the sliced small onions, dry red chillies , curry leaves n saute them. * when the onions are cooked add the contents from the pressure cooker to the kadai, add turmeric powder n salt. Let it boil for 10 mins. * cool the content fully and grind it coarsely in a mixer grinder .. * u can add fresh curry leaves and a small piece of tamarind while grinding and this is optional. * serve it with rice * * *
