Hello friends... I thought today would be a good day to address how Annies Ruff House handles severe weather. We are always concerned with both animal and people welfare. We monitor the weather conditions and if there is a storm that will likely hit our area, we put all dogs in their enclosures on the bottom level. We make sure there is identification on them. If they do not have tags we will put a paper collar on them with our info. In the event that the storm will likely hit us directly, I give the staff the opportunity to go home and take cover, or to stay. They have the choice. In the event that they all need to leave, we will close the facility and my personal cell phone number will be posted. Once the danger has passed we will contact customers and make arrangements to get your dog to you, or keep them overnight if needed. If I am in town (I have to travel a bit this spring) then I will take cover at my home shelter and return once the danger has passed. If I am not in town then an employee will contact you once the danger has passed and we are again re-open. We will keep you posted via facebook as to our status. Thank you all for entrusting your fur kids with us, we will do our very best to keep them safe. Sereta Wilson
