Hello guys, i really just wanted to pay a compliment to Jamie Mcmanus on what a good gym he runs there and to Eugene Browne on the way he coaches. Iv started a new job in birmingham which means i havent been able to get back in time for the sessions to train with you guys so iv started training at a boxing gym in birmingham. Its ok for fitness for me but trust me its just like every other gym iv been to, the trainers are basically personal trainers with only a fraction of the knowlege and knowhow of u guys and it falls a poor second to 1st legion, less pad time, less technical work and everyone is taught to box the same way. Stand up strait, work behind the jab, rather than seeing guys as individuals and encouraging the bobbing and side to side movement and hooking short guys like me have to rely on. I didnt throw a single hook on pads today! Anyway im waffling, i just wanted to say having to train elsewhere has made me realise just how good your sessions were and what a good atmosphere and attitude the lads have there. I miss training there and i just wanted to give credit where its due. hopefully i can get in on the odd saturday.
