Hello kickbackers! Wow! Know More, Pour More #3 An Introduction to Willamette Valley AVAs is complete! Thanks so much to Chris Mole for her tremendous design skills. When she emailed to tell me the good news I was so excited I poured salad dressing into my coffee cup! Thanks also to you kickbackers without whom the full realization of this project would not have happened. I started to write this booklet initially because we were beefing up our Oregon wine portfolios at work and I realized I needed to brush up. This old dog loves new tricks! I had so many research notes from that time I thought that servers and friends might also benefit from the cool info on the Willamette Valley. I think restaurant servers and enthusiasts alike may dig this little tome. I grew up - wine wise - with many of Oregons future winemakers . We sold wine retail, wholesale, in restaurants and bars. We traveled. We were cellar rats and harvest monkeys abroad and at home and felt so fortunate to hang with the pioneers of Oregons wine industry - the Adelsheims, Eraths, Letts, Ponzis , Sokol Blossers and more. Several of our mentors routinely pulled and shared wine from their cellars: Rachel Starr - thank you and peace to you always. Many of these old friends are now successful winemakers in their own right. They are passionate and they are the heart and soul of Oregons wine industry today. Im grateful and Im proud of them. KMPM #3 will be up on my blog site soon. Cool. Every time the guide is purchased through the end of the year, 50% of the proceeds will go directly to Salud! – a mobile medical clinic for Oregon’s seasonal vineyard workers and their families. For kickbackers who chose KMPM #3 as a reward youll hear from me soon! bottlerunner/downloads/know-more-pour-more-an-introduction-to-willamette-valley-avas/ Thank you all so much and happy holidays!
