Hello mlovelies! First of all, thanks for sticking with me through a crazy year full of all sorts of twists and turns. I published 7 full length books this year (seven!) and what keeps me going at this pace is knowing youre all out there joining me with all their shenanigans. I wanted to address that in 2015, Facebook is making some changes, hiding just about anything it thinks is an ad. Thats likely to mean any links to new books, cover reveals, release parties, giveaways, maybe even my daily word count updates. Not too many of you see my posts as it is, so its frustrating to know that number will drop in the near future. I wanted to share a few ways you might still get to see my updates if youre interested. 1) Please LIKE or COMMENT (or even better SHARE) this post. That tells Facebook that youre still interested in seeing my posts and might help others to see it too. Facebook decides something is worth showing to others only when the ones that do see it engage and interact. Otherwise it gets buried pretty quickly. 2) Sign up for my mailing list! This is the absolute best way to keep up to date on new releases, cover reveals, big giveaways and more. I promise I wont flood your email with lots of notices, you might get one a month, if that. Just enough to remind you that I exist and the next book in the series you love is coming. :) Please be sure to complete the process to validate the email when you sign up or you wont get the emails. eepurl/vP9aT 3) Next best to that would be to follow me on Amazon. Its a little spotty sometimes, and Im not sure how quickly they send out the updates when theres a new release out, but they do send you an email when I have a new book out and occasionally when theres a sale. Just click on the button below my profile pic on the page: amazon/author/lisaolsen 4) Visit my website and bookmark it as one of your favorites. Maybe that wont remind you to check it very often, but when you do come across it, youll see updates on upcoming projects, cover reveals and new releases. Under your Facebook Settings for this author page - hover your mouse over my LIKED button. Select get notifications and also add me to your interests list. Your Interest list is on your main newsfeed page, and you can move me up to your favorites if you like, which will put me to the top of that left hand list for an easy link. 6) Follow me on Twitter https://twitter/Mystewitch or Google+ https://plus.google/u/0/113074999413601353911/posts (though, like I said, I frequently forget to post to Google+) 7) Join my Streetbots. I have a core of superfans who are the first in the know on announcements and get to vote on cover ideas and stuff. Theres usually some swag to be had and the random giveaway. I dont ask much in return, just the occasional share or vote, and to help spread the word if you enjoy my books. Its a closed group, so send me a private message if youd like to join. I havent joined any of the other social media sites like TSU or ello because its hard enough keeping up with FB and Twitter and I always forget Google+ exists. Maybe if TSU turns into a proven new thing Ill give it a shot, but for now, Ive got enough on my plate keeping up the blistering writing pace. Facebook is still the best way to get the daily word count updates, teasers, cover reveals, sales and promos or the random bits of fun I like to post, I just wish there was a better way to make sure you see the posts I make. Facebook will boost my posts if I pay them to, and if that really worked, Id find a way to add that to my budget. But Ive had very little luck with engagement on paid posts so far, so thats off the table at this point. Anyway, I cant wait to see what the new year brings to us all and I hope to share it with you. It might take a little more effort on all of our parts, but hopefully we can still stay in touch.
