Hello, my family and friends!! I wanted to update you on my hip replacement surgery. It was scheduled for Monday at 6:00 am (which meant we left the house at 4:30), but when Darrell and I got to Alamogordo, they told us to go home because the doctor was sick. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach because I didnt want to wait any longer. We stopped at a truck stop and had breakfast and before we had finished the nurse had called and said it was rescheduled for the next day at 11:30. Praise the Lord!! All went well. The meds are wearing off and Im feeling more awake (although I could take a nap right now!!). My second physical therapy session today wowed the PT. My leg feels really strong; the hip flexor is amazing; its wonderful to feel this great after major surgery. My only pain is in the surgical site. I feel like I could leap over tall buildings! My sister, mom, nephew and niece are taking great care of me. Darrell doesnt have to do anything, if he chooses! I am so blessed to be part of this family!! God is so good and I am overwhelmed!! Ive got great support and wonderful prayer warriors. Feeling such love and gratitude for you all!!!
