Hello people of the internet! Since there were people who wanted to read more, we decided to give you some. Please let us know what you think of it! Love, JayLegion TA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the beginning of time, there was nothing. Well, that is not entirely true. There was something. Just one thing, one being. Only one, but it was plenty. In the beginning of time, there was energy. The Angel was born out of this energy that was so pure, that it could only form such a pure, perfect and timeless being as an Angel. The Angel rose from the darkness and spread His wings. A fiery blaze illuminated the sky. And in that very moment, there was more than the Angel. The sparks from the blaze became set points in the sky, glowing bright. They became the stars that light up our sky today. They formed constellation after constellation, a thousand of them. The Angel looked around. The stars brightened His face. That was the first day. He then first became conscious of Himself and He decided to call Himself Castiol. Castiol looked around. He saw the emptiness around Him and wept. His tears formed a ball of about His own size. He held out His hands and touched it. Immediately it turned into earth. The Angel smiled. He shaped and moulded it until He approved of it. He looked at it. It was small. Too small, He thought. He laid His hands on it again and it grew a thousand fold in size. Castiol smiled again. He waved His hands and all the corners and depths filled with water. The fields turned green, the deserts barren. Snow and ice filled the north, trees and bushes the tropical south. Great mountains and volcanoes came into existence. That was the second day. He came down and set first foot on His earth. He looked around. Everything had come to life, but still it was all empty. He did not like it. The emptiness saddened him once again. The Angel closed His eyes and imagined. He imagined a thousand and one different animals and a thousand and one of each kind. When the Angel opened His eyes again, His earth was filled with life. Birds fluttered in the sky, fish swam in the waters, animals roamed the lands. Then, as a final act of creation, Castiol imagined creatures much like Him, though without His splendour and without His wings. He called them human, men and women, and He gave them the earth with all its animals and all its life. That was the third day. In three days, the nothingness of empty space had been replaced with the fullness of a thousand constellations and a billion stars. Thousands of years passed and mankind thrived. Each day they praised their Angel, the Lord Castiol at morning and at night, before every meal and every fight. Canmol Duw, y Angel Castiol Canmol ein Harglwydd a Creawdwr Diolch Ef am y Golau Rhoddodd ni Felly’r Tywyllwch yn cadw i ffwrdd Diolch Ef am y dŵr a’r ddaear a’r awyr Diolch Ef am y dydd a’r y nos Diolch Ef am phopeth mewn bywyd Diolch Ef am y byd i gyd Fel Ef oedd yno ar y dechrau Felly Ef fydd yno ar ddiwedd Amen Long ago, some five hundred years before now, Gillian’s Archipelago was just an Archipelago. The majority of its islands was inhabited. It has fifty islands in a ring and one more in the middle. The island in the middle is sacred, as it has always been. No war was ever fought about it or on it. All peace treaties were signed there. It is big, bigger than any of the other islands and until the Desert came, until Gillian came, no one ever lived there. Only few people lived on the Archipelago and they were mostly traders and merchants. Most of the people lived on the three large continents surrounding the Archipelago. One of them has always been covered with ice and snow. Only the southern shore was inhabited by men. They built small villages and only went into the icy desert to hunt foxes, dears, rabbits and whatever else lived there in the snow. They named their land Northys and they called it home. The second continent has always been covered with tropical forests, savannas and all other exotic fauna. People lived deep in the forest, near the rivers and on the shores. They built several great cities in the middle of the jungles, only accessible to those who were worthy. They built the greatest libraries of all and held great knowledge. In their most prized city, Han, resides an ancient oracle. They named the land Westrop and it was their home. The final continent has great mountains and many volcanoes in the south that were named the Draig Mountains, which translates as Dragon Mountains in the ancient language known as Cymraeg. Moving closer towards the Archipelago you would find endless steppes and plains. There was always an oasis within a week’s travel. There travelled the nomads, merchants and tradesmen. They went from shore to shore, from city to city, carrying with them news and wares. The shores held great cities, magnificent structures, to be seen from miles ahead. They named the continent Easouth and it was home to them. The traders and merchants, who lived on the Archipelago, sailed all across the waters to do business on each shore, in each city and village. The waters surrounding the Archipelago were named after the Angel who had created them and the people called them the Streets of Castiol. The sea around the sacred island was simply named the Sacred Sea and the island was named Cysegr, sanctuary in the same old language as that of the Draig Mountains. The water between Northys and Easouth was called the Street of Gabrav, after the only city of Northys, at the most southeastern cape. Between Easouth and Westrop lies the Iridescent Sea, as it shimmers like a thousand suns. The narrow between Westrop and Northys was called the Strait of Taliel, after the first sailor who ever dared sailing beyond the Rocks of Ebb and Flood. He was never seen again. Beyond the known lands, there lies a great, almost endless ocean, simply named the Infinite Ocean. The people of this world had lived in peace with each other for thousands of years. Surely, they had their feuds now and then, but there was never a great war. Not until the Desert came. (Authors note: the piece in Cymraeg is a prayer, which translates as following: Praise Him, the Angel Castiol Praise our Lord and Creator Thank Him for the Light He gave us So the Darkness keeps away Thank Him for the water and the earth and the sky Thank Him for the day and the night Thank Him for everything in life Thank Him for the whole world As He was there at the beginning So He will be there at the end)
