Hello to all of my followers on here. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that at least some of you were blessed with some rain. Last night the heavens opened up and we received 61 mm (2.44 inches), which brings us the total of 63mm (2.52 inches) for the week. We have to wait till the black soil dries out a bit before we can find out if the rain was heavy enough to fill all of our dams, which have been dry for too long. My heart goes out to those have missed out, even though we are the extremely lucky ones this time, some rain somewhere is better than no rain nowhere. We are a long way from being back to where we were before the drought really kicked in, but this most certainly is a step in the right direction. We just need a really big flood here, as the Channel Country needs floods to make it reach to its full potential as the best cattle fattening country. I know I have been rather quiet on here, but I needed to step back and refuel after receiving some not so nice messages. Its been a tough year and I am only human. People have said to me on numerous occasions why dont I put on someone else as admin. The reason I dont is because this is something personal to me, my way I helping farmers/graziers. As Im living the drought too, this is the only way at the moment that I can offer a hand up to those who are also struggling. I realise this page is just a mere drop in the ocean, but I hope the ripple affect with turn into waves that will make people take notice. Please read & share.
