Hello to all the Wolf Pack friends and families! I would like to - TopicsExpress

Hello to all the Wolf Pack friends and families! I would like to extend our deepest thanks for your support, prayers and wishes for our safe deployment and expeditious return. We are past the halfway mark now and many of our families enjoyed a halfway party at the squadron hangar on North Island. Thanks to the Raptors of HSM-71 for helping them with the event. This deployment has ushered in a multitude of firsts for the squadron and host of accomplishments and qualifications by all of the members of the Pack, each special in their own right. Most of the Wolf Pack have taken the opportunity to achieve many of their personal and professional milestones and continue to press toward further goals. Being our first Carrier Air Wing deployment where the entire squadron is deployed (though not all at the same time to start) it is great be out together doing what we have so long trained for and excel as a group. Recently the CVN element was able to enjoy a well deserved break in Dubai, UAE and take the opportunity to get away from the ship, get some space away from shipmates, relax, have some fun, and talk to family after over a month since our last port call. We departed just in time for the start of Ramadan. Following our port call I finally had the opportunity to get over to see our Combat Elements (CELs) on USS Shoup, USS William P. Lawrence, and soon USS Stockdale. Since they all deployed ahead of the Carrier element it has been a full six months since we have seen many of them. Although short visits, it has been great to see everyone again and express what an outstanding job they have been doing. Fortunately all of the CELs and the Carrier element will return home together as planned. As you can see by many of the pictures on this page, the Wolf Pack continues to do great things and maintain our standard of excellence. Take care and God bless!
