Hello wonderful parents! Here are the details about the seed lab: When: Monday Time: Period 1 (8:30-9:10) and 2 (9:10-10). ****Please come at 8:10 to set up before lab. Where: Science Lab What: Students will be divided into 6 groups of 6-7 students. 1-2 parents per table. Students have been learning about seeds and plants. Students will bring in a fruit or vegetable and in groups will use magnifying glasses to look at seeds and sort them. A microscope will be set up and students will be able to see seeds under a microscope. After all groups have seen seeds under microscope we will cook food and enjoy the fruits and vegetables. Some ideas for food: -fruit salad -ice cream -smoothies -fruit juice -pineapple rice We need parents to bring their blender, rice cooker, or whatever we need to cook the food you choose. Please have fun! Anything you would like to cook and share will be great! Post what you plan on making so I can organize the groups.
