Help!!! I need some input from those who have experienced this. I have a new and rather nice Acer laptop that I got last August. It is Windows 8.1 and has never worked properly. Mark wants and is ready to strip it down and start all over. He knows what he is doing but I do not want to suffer any more loss of data, particularly of media, in my life. I am thinking through the steps involved in getting everything I want onto an external hard drive and making sure I have record of the programs I want back on it. So here is what I have thought of - I have a folder for all jpgs, one for all videos, one for all music, one for all documents and one for all downloads. Help me think of what I am missing and feel free to offer any other insights from your own experience. Thank You.
