Help! My Palana Edison has turned six and has once again grown out of yet another saddle! The latest was a Thorowgood Cob, have changed gullets, but def doesnt fit so now unable to ride him as he was getting little round pressure swellings in dif places along his back. After a bit of a massage, they would disappear. However for Eddies sake I have not ridden him since (Im too old for bareback everyone, so dont go there!). Having spoken to a couple of saddle fitters (two have given up, saying they have nothing and are unable to source anything!), the remaining two have said a treeless would be my best option, but they dont stock or supply! I remember a previous post & I think it was Dianne Stevens who recommended Barefoot Treeless Saddles? I am in QLD, has anyone used one or any recommendations or experiences? No arguing please, I just want the best for my boy and I. I intend to break him to harness eventually, but in the meantime we love our rides. When I saw Katie Alfredsons Palana Ignatius & Angela Anne Roberts Sammy at a horse show last year, I looked at their backs and realized how much bigger and flatter, no withered my darling boy is lol! I also understand he will continue to mature for another couple of years & really dont want to buy a saddery .... 😄
