Help Perry Barr Fire Station fill a fire engine with food for people in need this Christmas. Firefighters and cadets from Perry Barr Fire Station are giving up their free time today (20/12) to hold a food collection in aid of Erdington Food Bank at Tesco New Oscott. Firefighter Billy Holland, who is organising the event, Said: “Food banks are unfortunately becoming an increasingly visible part of Birmingham life and they are doing great work for our communities, We will be asking shoppers to add items to their shopping which they can donate to us and help to fill the fire engine. We’re really glad to have an opportunity to help them carry on their work and we hope our local people will support us as they always do in filling the fire engine and making the day a success.” Please help if you can, the fire engine will be outside the store until 4PM.
