Help a Mom Out: She writes: I need encouragement and advice. My 5 year old suffers from a rare autoimmune disorder that deals with food allergies (Eosinophilic esophagitis). He also has multiple food allergies. On top of it, he displays what doctors and therapists call selective mutism. He displays a lot of Aspergers characteristics. They say he most likely has sensory integration disorder. Hes always had potty accidents, but the past few months, hes had poo and pee accidents non stop. They did an MRI and his spinal cord is normal. We are being referred to a neurologist for further testing. Anyone else have advice? We arent sure if the accidents are behavioral...he says he cant feel them. And that seems to be true.
