Help needed / Most of insulation in / New medication / Health Update An amazing team of guys from an Elk River church insulated the exterior walls today and did most of the vapor barrier work. They ranged in age from teens to retirees. Some worked in this field, and one is the Elk River building inspector; so we got quality work :-) There are a couple of wood frame repairs needed by next Saturday for when they return. If anyone is up to spending a couple of hours here after work this week, please give Jim a call. 612-751-4305. Thanks! Jim is starting his first steroid sparing drug to treat his lung & nervous system illness. It takes time to start working, so he will not start his prednisone taper until after seeing the lung doctor from Mayo Clinic in a month. It has less infection risk and less damaging on the bones, but can be tough on the liver. So, surgery is looking like it should work out for August. It will be good to have Beethoven #1 gone and the temporary hernia repair done. Jim has been having trouble with ileus and partial obstruction again after a gut virus this past week, so he is on a blended food diet. No fun! Getting that hernia fixed will hopefully help bunches. Jim has been lonely and on the down & outs since I’ve started back to college and workstudy. He really could use some uplifting contact from you. It is not easy to be without the person he has been leaning on so much for the past couple of years. He is physically stronger, and managing to stay out of the hospital. But, this new life and lack of direction is so difficult. I managed to get A’s in my midterms. I’m so excited that my study method’s / speed have been improving. It still feels very odd to be in school and workstudy. The group I work with is a fun bunch. I really enjoy the job. I do miss being with Jim bunches though. At least I’m a quick text, phone call, or instant message away. My boss and professor have no problem with me staying connected to Jim & Erik to help out when needed with suggestions. When I had to spend a half hour making medical phone calls on Friday, my boss just let me work a half hour late! Enjoy your 4th of July weekend! Thanks Everyone, Becka
