Henry Blackaby was once asked how he studied the Bible for - TopicsExpress

Henry Blackaby was once asked how he studied the Bible for himself. He answered that he sought to use a system that enabled him to go through all of the Bible on a regular basis - and he always was in the Gospels for God the Father is seeking to make us in the image of Jesus the Son so we need to know as much as we can about Jesus. I love going through the whole Bible continually, systematically, and staying "with one finger" in the Gospels; but I would add that for me I keep one finger in the book of Acts as well because I need to keep before me how God moved in and through that small group of faithful ones to bring the Gospel to the whole known earth. God has not changed and His desire for the lost to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth has not changed. His desire that prodigal sheep come home has not changed so there is no reason to believe that He will not move again mightily if presented with another faithful few willing to follow Him without compromise - in His strength (not ours) - all for His honor and glory.
