Herald-Leader: Don’t drop your business on my front - TopicsExpress

Herald-Leader: Don’t drop your business on my front lawn! After the rains passed, I was upstairs with Sharon to see that the newspaper was dropped on our front lawn. Well, we don’t subscribe to the news anymore, so I was surprised to find that they had left us a present. I opened the bag to find their present was the refuse of the paper, the remains of the paper sans any news-worthy information – advertisements! So, I began thinking of all the other non-subscribers forced to clean-up after these errant paperboys let loose by the newspaper to drop their business on our front lawns - and came up with this idea. If each of us took our pink plastic bags and, after recycling the contents they left us, reused the bag for our pet’s business, we could return the half million plastic bags to the front doors of the Herald-Leader to remind them that if they want to drop their unwanted business at our front door, we should certainly be allowed to do the same. … and, if you don’t have a pet, I’m certain you can find a way to “personalize” the present you leave for them.
