Here are my #YogaTuneUp class themes at Crane Rehab Center for the rest of July. Please note the new class time on Fridays 7:00-8:00am. Wed 07/09/14, 6:00-7:00pm: Sponge Ball Special -This class uses a small, inflatable ball in each pose & exercise as a means of getting relief to tight muscles and tissues, including the abdominals. Fri 07/11/14, 7:00-8:00am: Lower Body Focus -Targeted exercises, stretches and poses for the feet, legs and hips Wed 07/16/14, 6:00-7:00pm: Undulation Focus -A blend of yoga, self-massage and undulation exercises to unravel tension in the spine and hips (Spinal Undulations, Cat-Cow and variations, Up. Ko. w/ each foot strapped, Lateral Lunges w/ Shoulder Rolls) Fri 07/18/14, 7:00-8:00am: Upper Body Focus -Targeted exercises, stretches and poses for the torso, shoulders, arms, hands and neck Wed 07/23/14, 6:00-7:00pm: Wall-Based Tune-Up -A wall can give your muscles great feedback on where your imbalances reside. Each pose uses a wall as a tool in attempting to improve range of motion and functionality in your joints and tissues. Fri 07/25/14, 7:00-8:00am: Building Shoulder Strength -Dig up lost mobility in your shoulders and learn to strengthen the shoulder muscles from many angles. Wed 07/30/14, 6:00-7:00pm: Standing Poses for Strength & Balance (p. 33, YTU Notes) -Learn how to do traditional yoga standing poses in a way that promotes strengthening and lengthening of muscles while improving balance.
