Here are some icebreakers for your mF2 neighbors: Neighborhood Ice Breakers 1. Sit outside in the evening, on your front porch, driveway, or front lawn where you may have contact with neighbors. Be prepared to say hello. 2. Take walks around your neighborhood at times when neighbors are likely to be outside. Stop and talk when you get a chance. 3. If you know neighbors are going on vacation, offer to collect their mail or newspapers, or bring in their trash cans. Offer to watch their house. 4. Give new neighbors a 3x5 card containing your name, address, and phone number, and invite them to call you with any questions about the neighborhood. 5. After okaying it with residents, put together a neighborhood directory of names, addresses, and phone numbers, and give copies to all your neighbors. 6. Baby-sit for your neighbors. 7. Pick up trash thats blown around the neighborhood. 8. Share clippings of plants (indoor or outdoor). 9. If you bake, make extra cookies, pies, etc., and give them to someone. 10. Start a neighborhood Bible study. 11. Invite one or two couples over for pizza or a barbecue, and use the time to get to know each other. 12. Share clothing and toys that your kids or grandkids have outgrown. 13. Mow or rake someones lawn; shovel snow off a driveway or sidewalk. 14. When neighbors stop by, invite them in—even when your house is a mess. Show them that their friendship is more important to you than keeping up appearances.
