Here are some photos from our walk on Sunday over High Rigg, with Terry Mullett and John Walker, and dogs Brandon and Ghyll. Rather wet on and off, so the rainclouds provided some lovely views of the low-lying clouds completely obscuring our mountain, but the autumn colours were amazing as we went down through the woods. Havent got round to putting titles on the pics yet, but I thought youd like to see them. https://flickr/photos/allybeag/sets/72157648449495326/ We sometimes overlook the gentler fells like High Rigg, in favour of big, challenging climbs, but High Rigg is lovely, with lots of variety, from the rocky, lumpy bits at the north end, and finishing up in gorgeous woods in the south. On the way back theres even a very welcome self-service tearoom with a natural toilet out back. Oh and if anyone finds a red walking pole sticking in the ground down there, ITS MINE. (Doh) Not really worth going back to look for it - £4.99 from Aldi ...
