Here are some very special Throwback Thursday photos for me from 38 years ago. After playing for The Washington Diplomats in the NASL and then playing in the National Soccer League in DC, I finally decided to stay near home and play for the local team in Manassas, Va. - The Athletic Attic Soccer Team which became the athletic Attic Soccer Club with at least4 or 5 teams playing at a high level in Northern Va. The whole thing was a great experience as we had an interesting collection of young guys, players in their prime, players that were pretty new to soccer and some cagey veterans from many different countries and continents. We practiced religiously two nights a week and that made a difference since most teams just showed up to play on Sundays. The team dominated the league over the next 8 years, winning 14 League and Cup Championships!!
