Here are the Facebook conversations from last week. I apologize if you have already seen these. I just want to make sure that everyone who visits this Facebook page has the opportunity to see everything. For those of you who believe that there is anything decent, well meaning, or innocent in our jury duty officials, please read below about L I’s personal experience with jury duty: --- Thank you for having this page. Allow me to tell you my situation. I am 57, have over-active bladder, sciatica, nearly legally blind and cannot drive, live 30 miles away from the court house, no public transportation near my home to the court house, disabled veteran husband falls and must have someone watching him (me) during the day due to two failed knee replacements. Have submitted all of this information to the jury clerk and they do not care. They say it is my problem. Show up or be arrested. So far I have called in every night and now find that I have to report on the 17th. It is going to be over 100 degrees forecast there and I have to freaking walk 30 miles in the heat both ways to get to jury duty? Are you kidding me? This needs to stop. Also, when I get nervous (which I have been and have not been sleeping well since June 30th when I had to start calling in every night), my blood sugar drops and I dehydrate quickly. No food or liquid for at least four hours? No bathroom permissions? Sitting in a court house which will probably be over 80 degrees since it is somewhat rural and I recall they had fans but no air conditioning? OMG! I already had to cancel my vacation plans as my service period runs July 1st through August 31st (we were going to have company in to camp on our property but I never know if I will be home or not). I am also a Blog Talk Radio host. Due to my not knowing if I am going to be available to run the shows, I had to cancel the shows for two solid months or just do one on the spur of the moment in the event I would be available. This has got to stop. I am not suicidal over this but I do wonder if I will survive it. Thanks for listening and feel free to publish on your site. L I THIS TYRANNY HAS GOT TO STOP!!!! Unbelievable, these trash-hearted sadistic monsters abusing this poor, infirm lady like this. The judicial government of the United States is the enemy of the people of the United States!!! L, you have my total sympathy, and are in my prayers. Wish I could put my hands around the throats of your governmental abusers and show them exactly what we the people really think about them. May I ask, what state are you in? Your situation sounds worse even than what we endure here in Southern California, which up till now I thought was the worst. EJD --- Just found this site tonight from a Google search, but I would like also to add that I understand you have to take an oath as a juror and swear to God . . . what if you are an atheist or someone who simply does not believe in a bearded individual in long robes sitting in a throne on a cloud? I would be classified as a spiritualist, one who believes personally that we are all part of Source and are the creator and the created. What then? Do I get jailed for refusing to take the oath as they have it worded? L I Jury duty has nothing to do with God--Christian, spiritualist, or otherwise--as jury duty is 100% political, the rich and powerful forcing their will on the poor and weak. I am sure that when these hypocrites invoke the name of God, it makes God cringe. I am not sure what someone in your position can do, being sensitive as you are to the words of the oaths that they impose on you, but I suspect that if you just play along with their stupid and selfish game, then God will forgive you. God understands that these jury-duty sadists are satanic liars. EJD --- So weve all had our chance to speak our minds, now what do we do about this?? Please tell me what I can do to help end this tyranny. S L S, discussing these options is exactly what this Facebook page is designed for. I am hoping that readers will submit their own ideas. The way I see it, outside of contacting legislators or activists in human rights agencies, both of whom in my experience have just sided with the tyrants, the only thing we can do is to stage juror strikes. Jury duty is at heart a labor issue, since it is really just forcing people to work without pay, so why not just use the same tactic used by the labor movement in this country, that is, striking? We can just flat out refuse to render verdicts until this wicked practice is reformed. But the only way that would work would be if we could amass sufficient numbers to make an impact, myriads of freedom fighters willing to go to jail for this cause, otherwise our evil court would just jail the freedom fighters and replace them with scabs, and right now scabs in our country are readily available. Maybe the other thing we can do is the thing that we already are doing, that is, to inform people of the logical and moral contradictions of jury duty, so that they will take a stand against it and no longer be scabs. Or maybe if we were simply to write letters to legislators and human rights activists in sufficient number, that would be enough to get them to take action. Certainly, writing letters is something that we as individuals can start doing right now and hope that others will join in. I hate to be so indecisive, but I really don’t know. Do you have any ideas?
