Here are your news stories for Tuesday, October 14th: A man is arrested in Pleasanton by an Atascosa County deputy, but he collapses and dies at the hospital in Jourdanton. A Taser was used in making the arrest. The case is under investigation by Texas Rangers and there will be an autopsy. 15 years ago Sunday three lawmen were killed in an ambush near Pleasanton. They were remembered yesterday in a solemn ceremony at the Atascosa County Jail. We pause to remember deputies Mark L. Stephenson, Thomas O. Monsey and DPS trooper Terry Miller. That contract detention center in Karnes County was the scene of demonstrations over the weekend, and Wilson County has dropped its burn ban.
