Here at The Nurtury we think communication between us and our parents is very important. We currently hand each parent a sheet at the end of the day that tells them what their child has enjoyed doing during the day, what they have eaten, their mood, details of potty/nappy times and any other info we feel will be relevant. We produce a news letter quarterly, provide a board with our monthly planning on for parents to see when they pick up or drop off. Learning stories are provided quarterly based on the Childrens goals and next steps etc and we have sent questionnaires home to give parents a chance to give us feedback on all aspects of our setting. We also give extensive verbal feedback at the end of every day. What I would love is this to be a two way thing. Rarely do we get more than a they have eaten breakfast! We get no response to questionnaires and no parent feedback from the learning stories. Could all parents out there regardless of if your child comes to The Nurtury give me an idea of how you like to receive information about your child and what would work best for you in exchanging information? We understand all parents are busy so would love to find ways to exchange info that fits in with these busy lives.
