Here comes an unusual combo: Angry/Thankful Craig. Took Sawyer to the pediatrician today and heard exactly what I thought I was going to hear: I dont know. He needs to see a mental health professional. This is what I told the school would happen, but they felt it necessary to use my insurance deductible. However, a nice lady at the school who works with military families (I think active only, or I may have mentioned that I am a veteran. Hell, I never used military benefits owed to me. Once couldnt hurt) searching for a counseling reference that takes my insurance. Everyone who spends time with the boy says, Great kid. Very smart. Extremely loving. Anxiety is probably the thing. In addition, I started something that I always said that was a waste. I believe this generation relies on medical diagnosis too much. However, I read the writing on my own wall. Sometimes it is needed. I medicated him. Since my last post, he hasnt had an outburst. Hes actually had 2 exceptional days and 2 good days this week. He is a good person. He is borderline genius. But he is also putting so much pressure on himself, it is hurting his emotional well being. Keep truckin, though. Thanks for the positive thoughts. Report concluded.
