Here goes: No KG , 1st -Mrs. Griffin, (I found my evaluation from October, 1963 in my mothers things this summer. Handwritten note that ended with Judy needs to relax. She worries about details that are not important. Not much has changed in 50 years plus) 2nd- Mrs. Moss then ended that year with Mrs. Reynolds, 3rd -Mrs. Jones, 4th -Mrs. Hart (who threatened to cut our ears off if we didnt know our multiplication tables by Christmas. She stated this daily in the fall during snack time while she peeled her apple. I believed her and knew my tables by Halloween. I took no chances. 5th- Mrs. Gravely and 6th- Mrs. Page with our student teacher, Ms. McNamar (sp?) Mrs. Page instilled in the true love of listening to literature read aloud with The Yearling. I remember our class was large and she was NO NONSENSE. Silent lunch tables were every day and every year. Mr. Bates was our principal. I was there from 1963 to 1969. I was raised on Ammons Avenue behind Blairs Drug Store. Many of my friends made at Ratcliffe ES have remained my friends to this day. I am proud of our friendships and accomplishments.
