Here is Dave looking and feeling (and smelling!!!) much better after a good bath. Still looking for ideas on what to do with this poor guy, as we cant keep him. Vet estimates his age at 5 and he looks like he might be purebred. Hes got lots of ouchies all over, but skin scraping confirmed no mites or mange, so its just from being flea-ridden and outdoors for who-knows-how-long and should heal up. Hes now flea-free, on pain meds and steroids for his ouchies, is getting his ear infections treated, and has gotten de-wormer. So, pending the results of his heartworm test (which well know tomorrow), he appears to be overall healthy. Please share if you know any GSD aficionados! He has been checked for a microchip and I have posted him on Indy Lost Pet Alert.
