Here is David Bispham singing Danny Deever. 101 years ago today, Bispham sang this at the White House. Following Bisphams performance, President Theodore Roosevelt said, By Jove, Mr. Bispham, that was bully! With such a song as that you could lead a nation into battle! Yesterday was Bisphams birthday, so between his birthday and White House singing engagements, this was a big week for David Bispham. He is now buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where I play one of his songs when I show people his gravesite.
