Here is UDC manifesto on workers, because Duma Boko was interupted towards the end when he tried to explain. I dont know if anyone can come in a debate knowing the page location of each and every single content of the manifesto. That was unfair from Annah Motlhagodi! Please note that UDC manifesto does not have a separate section for workers. But workers are included in different sections of the GREAT 5 pillars of the manifesto. I have sampled the lines that only concern the workers of this country. Thapelo Ndlovu, the BCP national campaign manager, Annah Motlhagodi, BCP Shaddow minister and Saleshando the BCP Shadow president must read this CAREFULLY and PATIENTLY before going around misleading people! Read below: PILLAR 1, THE LEARNING BEEHIVE, page 8 Challenges section 4.1.1: It states that there is low morale of teachers due poor working conditions Objectives: Improve management of education in all fields and institutions of learning, thereby enhance skills, morale, working conditions and the dignity of the teaching profession at all levels Mechanisms to improve our learning systems section 4.1.3 Page 9 -Improve teacher remuneration by establishing incentives linked to outcomes. -Encourage workers in the private and public sectors to enhance their skills through new initiatives for life-long learning. PILLAR 2, A CLEAN AND EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT The challenges, page 11: -Low morale in the public service, including in the teaching service, police, BDF and among workers in general. -Poor government-labour relations. Objectives, page 12: -Revitalise and entrench a culture of commitment to transparency, accountability and aspirations for effectiveness and efficiency among civil and political servants. -Restore professionalism in public service management. 4.2.3 Mechanisms to improve our governance system -Provide training to civil servants to develop capacity (i.e, required human resourses) to manage large scale projects. -Restore cordial relations between government and the trade unions, as well as embrace the strengthening of established institutions such as the Bargaining Council. -improve overall morale in the civil service through a raft of incentive-based initiatives (linking increases to performance of Government services and revenues) -Restore professionalism in the top echelons of the security forces by curtailing undue influence of the Presidency in the affairs of such institutions. -Appoint a public broadcasting board independent of Government control, and responsible for BTv, RB and future public broadcasters. This will promote freedom of state journalists. -Review procedures for the appointment of judges, and ensure it is beyond reproach in a manner that fosters the independence of the judiciary. PILLAR 5, SECURE AND FULFILLED FAMILIES page 29 Objectives 4.5.2 - providing support systems for families at workplace Mechanisms towards a secure and fulfilled families: - Facilitate affordable (and near free) universal access to high quality health care for all citizens. -Train, recruit and retain a large stock of highly motivated health care professionals, incentivized fairly -the UDC government intends to adopt family-friendly laws that allow working families (especially families with young children) and their employers to practice flexible working hours, including possibility of pursuing some of the work from home and introduction of paternity leave.
