Here is a Boundary County original.. a story proving age is all in the state of mind! For you more mature friends Don Howe needs no introduction but for my younger Facebook friends Don Howe was a former State Senator, and local valley farmer. Among other things Don served on the National Assn of Wheat Growers and was one of the original owners of Radio KBFI. Needless to say Don was a very experienced man and was not shy in the least to offer his opinions to his friends young or old and I was certainly one of his younger friends that learned early on in life to listen and listen well..... Don & his wife decided to spend a winter in Palm Springs. Upon his return in the spring he came to visit his old buddies at the Panhandle coffee place, dragging his oxygen down the isle as he walked to the table. This octogenarian was asked how he liked Palm Springs by one of his buddies at the table and I kid you not, his response was No way in hell will I ever go back there!! All it is, is a bunch of old people!! It just goes to show... age is a mind thing....LOL
