Here is a PAINFUL lesson on going into debate unprepared. Skeptoid producer, Brian Dunning goes head to head with Joe Rogan. It starts out great, Brian pulls no punches and even gets Rogan to back off the Moon Landing Hoax conspiracy theory. Thats as far as he got. The remaining hour and a half was Rogan talking circles around him, Brian had no ammunition nor actual knowledge of Rogans history in conspiracy theories, where he stood, or where he stands. He was unaware of the endless list of crackpots, ancient alien glorps, revisionist historians, nutritional grifters, and Discovery Channel hucksters that Rogan has let ramble on his podcast unchallenged. Toward the end of the program, Brian nailed himself into a coffin announcing he did research into a recent Rogan podcast, but it was so horrific he blew an emotional gasket and had to turn it off ten minutes in, then tried to debate the issue with no information. Rogan absolutely destroyed him. This is one of the most embarrassing examples of a noted skeptic being crushed by an opponent he underestimated. He walked into a lions den with nothing but his dick in his hand. Dunning, The Joe Rogan Podcast has millions of listeners, exponentially more than SGU or Skeptoid, and you went in there unarmed, lazy, and over-confident, and ate a bag of dicks the size of Montana.
