Here is a SDO/AIA 171A and 304A composite video of the C8 solar flare that launched a Coronal Mass Ejection. We are still awaiting LASCO imagery to see if there is an earth-directed component. Nonetheless we can conclude that the bulk of the material is heading well northeast of the Sun-Earth line and away from Earth. This flare was not that strong, only C8 but it put on a great show! No news on the M6 CME that is expected to arrive at any time now. The ACE EPAM low-energy protons are still at low levels fairly steady. There are no signs that the CME is close at the moment.
