Here is a great short video on how to properly use a rowing machine. In my post from last week, I talked about the benefits of exercising at least 30 minutes a day, or most days out of the week. But, I realize it is hard to just show at the gym and know what to do. It is daunting! This video is just a little help. According to the Livestrong website (livestrong/article/82470-benefits-rowing-machine/), rowing is a full body work out- it “uses virtually every major muscle group in your body.” It is also a great way to start exercising regularly because it has such a low impact on your joints and lower back. While running is an amazing cardio and muscular work out, running puts strain on your joints and lower back. Plus, using every most major muscle groups in your body means rowing tones “virtually every major muscle group in your body.” Just like I said last week, exercise is a great way to reduce stress. The endorphins “reduce stress and… lift feelings of depression.” So, try rowing- you will look great and feel great!
