Here is a great story for all you animal lovers. Our next door neighbours moved over 5 kilometers away just on 12 months ago taking with them Bernie the big ginger Persian 10 year + cat and Tilly the Golden Retriever (whom we fed many times when they went on holiday). Over 2 weeks ago I saw a cat on our driveway and said to Brent "I just saw a cat today that looks just like Bernie". Then 2 days ago I saw him again and got Brent and said "look it is Bernie" so we called him and he instantly turned round. Now what do we do! Brent had a brain wave (animal lover and hero that he is) and phoned the wife as we remembered where she worked. She was absolutely Gob smacked! Bernie went missing at EASTER TIME!!!!! when they went away, put Tilly in Kennels but got the neighbours to feed Bernie. He had managed to find his way back here crossing two busy roads and walking over 5 kilometers. And he is 11 years old now and has somehow manged to scrounge food on the way. He still looks in great body condition and scratched the hell out of his owners arm when they tried to put him into his cat cage. What a legend cat and Brent for working out how to get him back home!!! Only ever heard dog stories like this not a kitty cat story!!!
