Here is a little journey about YA boy DJ THORNE!!! Things U didnt know! When I was 5 to 7 yrs old living in the 8th ward on turner st. I had a big ass wood oak console in my bed room upstairs with a turntable in it. At the age of 12 / 13 my mom sent me a big ass stereo in which I took apart and used the turn table and volume button to mimic a scratch. Later got a realistic s arm turntable from dj sugar j resse jones and then beg jimmy Striblin for his toshiba turntable that he had on his stereo console. Which he finally sold me. I finally had a pair of tables but no mixer. So me and my grandmother walked to the mall to radio shack and bought a mixer! But it was a mic mixer!!! Smh! So we caught the bus and went back and got another 5 channel no cross fade mixer. And walked back again because our buses stopped running. At this point I was on my way. A TV fell on that toshiba turntable so my Brotha Chris mayle gave me have the money and we walked to sun TV and bought some straight arm technics. I wasnt happy with them so later bought a 1400 and a 1800 technic of of this older dude. They just set in his closet. At 15 got a job working at the block house where I made enough money to buy some pro Gemini 1800s. And then I met Avery from CHAPTER ONE and he let me touch his set on the 1200s and I was in heaven so I saved and bought a pair! Later after buying a couple pairs of 1200s off of people who didnt respect them. I bought the technic grandmasters!!! THE BEST TURNTABLE EVER! Mg5 and this is where I stand and most of my turntable journey until I but these reloops or pioneers just for shits and giggles to have a back up! SO TO ALL OF MY DJ PARTNERS AND FRIENDS!!!
