Here is a little update on Minnesotas Aquatic invasive species training requirements previously posted here. Sunset Country Travel Association sent out this update today!!! Good news for those traveling through Minnesota with a boat & trailer!!! Hi everyone: Lots of correspondence about this and the news is mostly good. It appears the lawmakers in MN realize it is a nightmare for people just driving through to have one of these stickers so I have been told it wont be enforced on out-of-state travelers passing through MN. This is obviously good for Ontario lodges. other thing I heard is there is no fine associated with not having a sticker anyway - just a warning is issued. Also they may repeal the part for out of state trailers all together. None of this is 100% confirmed but this is where it appears to be going. Best strategy may be to not even mention this to your guests.
