Here is a message from MAJ Alfred Saguid regarding adding pavers to the 38ID momument in recognition of the 138th Sig BN Hello everyone, Wanted to push some info an what some prior Signal Battalion personnel are doing. I got some of my senior NCOs on this list that has helped me through the way in the Signal Battalion and I hope you still have contacts of retired NCOs that I came through the ranks with. We are currently trying to purchase a 2x2 paver for the 38ID Monument. It takes a $1,000 check to hold a reservation for the 138th Signal Battalion. A 2x2 Paver for the 38ID Monument has been sent in to the 38ID Association. Two sketches were sent in via email to the company doing the work for a final cost estimate. The $1,000 price tag is with writing only - limit of 100 characters. We have sent in two proposals - see attached, asking for a final quote with the additional graphics - once we get those we will determine if we are going to add graphics or not. Sharon Kirby has agreed to be the treasurer, since she is centrally Located at the 38ID Div Armory, G1, she will be the holder of the donations as they come in. If you need to mail it to her, you can do so at 38th Division Armory, Sharon Kirby, Division G1, 3912 West Minnesota Street, Indianapolis, IN 46241-4064. Right now our target is to keep it at only $50.00 a person - to do this we will need to enlist at least 2 more people to cover the initial $1,000 and even a few more once we get the cost for the graphics. Please get the word out - and if you have agreed to donate - get your funds to Sharon. For those donors without a military email - whoever has been in contact with them please pass this information to them so They can get their donation sent in.
