Here is a powerful letter to the Economist: skokatay7 mins ago Let us look at the core of the problem between India and Pakistan. 1 - India has no interest in expanding it territory at the expense of Pakistan. Yet this would be an inconceivable notion to the Pakistani army. 2 - All three major India-Pakistan wars were started by Pakistan, including Kargil and other smaller skirmishes. This again would be astounding news to the Pakistanis. 3 - Pakistanis have visceral hatred for the kafir Hindus whom they would like to conquer, subjugate, or convert to please Allah -yet they wear a mask of normalcy in public. 4 - They have a false sense of physical superiority over the more peaceable Indians, except for the fact the the great Mughal empire was brought to its knees by the Hindu Marathas and the Afghans were kept at bay by the Sikhs. This fact would definitely cause cognitive dissonance to most Pakistanis. 5 - Koran compels the faithful to Jihad until all the world is brought under the sword, to subjugate, convert or kill the nonbelievers. All this true - The Pakistanis know and recognize this as they quietly applaud and appreciate every act of aggression and terror on the innocent committed by their young men - so who is fooling who? Now given this reality, then on what basis does India negotiate with Pakistan? Is the Economist so out of touch with the reality on the ground or is this the manifestation of Liberal tendency to side with oppressor - be it the old Soviet Union, Cuba and now the Islamic Radicals? The heart of any Liberal is too dark for me the fathom. May God have mercy on them all.
