Here is a snapshot of my #hiit workout today. I filmed only a small part so you can see each exercise. I filmed this after my workout was done, Im pretty exhausted and thats a bright white sports bra that looks another colour because Im soaked in sweat! My #hiit workouts are intense, I am working out at an elite level so dont think you need to mimic what I do, its to give you ideas. Here was the workout: 50 seconds of work for each exercise and 10 seconds rest in between each for 5 rounds, so each set takes 8 minutes. To give you an idea I can do 10 full burpees with excellent form in 50 seconds. You can modify each of these moves, jumping doesnt bother me and if it does for you hold the jump back. Im also big on moving forward and back for my moves- so even with jumping jacks I move forward and backwards when doing them, I didnt here for the sake of filming. 1) speed skip 2) burpees 3) lunge jump to squat jump to lunge jump- these are so hard so good hard! 4) squat jack with flutter kick 5) low frog hops 6) bench bunny hops- Im all about the kick these are crazy hard gawddd my arms burn 7) power skip 8) Swiss ball toe taps I was so tired and worked hard prior with 30 min step mill and then my #hiit so my form for my toe taps at the end is off here. I also have tightness on my right side so I picky and notice it with all I do! I also have quite the shoulder pump, skipping is hard shi$ For those who like small details: Im wearing Lululemon in the flow crops, I have 7 pairs of them and being small 52 means I dont need to hem them (amen) they fit incredible and handle my workouts, Lululemon bra and socks, they have been very good to me and Im grateful for Lululemon support! Fridays I usually workout slightly later and fuel prior: 1 litre of water, 2 black coffees, half of a large baked sweet potato topped with coconut butter. This is my off season, that means Ive scaled back intensity slightly, I dont run and I focus more on what I need to and want to improve on over the winter. This has allowed me to stay injury free, maintain an incredible level of fitness- (Im 38 remember) and come back for Spring/Summer ready to rock it. I have my body fat measured 2xs a year and yes I add an extra layer of fat in the winter and I LOVE it! No one maintains a level of exact body fat year round and its a fundamental belief of mine that you should eat and train seasonally as well and dont get so caught up in the rest, it all comes together. #dropitlikeasquat
