Here is a snippet of a screenplay that is being written about the origins and history of the Compact Duo. Pilot Episode of The Legend of Compact Duo EXT. Perth Amboy New Jersey waterfront dive bar. Tim Consequences mom, Delores, is a teenage mother holding her new born son. She appears very frightened. The neon sign on the bar says Rays Bar & Grill. She looks around making sure no one is following her before she enters the bar INT. Rays Bar & Grill is a grunge bar whose clientele are seaman, petty criminals, whores, gamblers and other forms of lowlife. Ray is behind the bar and hurries to the young mother when he sees her. Ray: Delores what are you doing here. It is not safe for you to be here. Delores: I didnt know where else to turn Mr. Lemberg. You were Tims best friend Ray: (Ray cant keep his eyes off the baby and takes the infant into his arms) Hes a beautiful boy Delores. We have to get you out of town and put him somewhere where he will be safe. What is the childs name. Delores: I named him Tim after his father. (She begins to cry) I dont believe that horrible monster killed my husband just because he refused to perform at his nightclub. You must help me Mr. Lemberg. I dont care about me but you must save baby Tim! Ray: I will do whatever I can. Tim was my best friend and the best musician I ever knew. But we must be careful. The Boss will never stop until he has his revenge. First thing is we have to get you out of here. (Fade to Black) INT. Back room office of Rays Bar and Grill. Rays 10 year old son is practicing the piano while Ray and Delores talk Ray: My associate Big Eddy will be hear any minute. Big Eddy will escort you to Wisconsin where you will stay with some friends of mine until I can fix things. Meanwhile, Baby Tim will be safe. As soon as this mess blows over you can come back home to Perth Amboy. I will give you a job with my organization and you and Tim jr. will always be taken care of. Delores: How will I ever thank you Mr. Lemberg. Ray: There is no need to thank me my dear. We are family. Delores: Your son plays the piano beautifully Mr. Lemberg. How old is he? Ray: Yeah, hes pretty good aint he. He must have got it from his mother side of the family. He aint worth squat with anything else. Hes been permanently expelled from the Perth Amboy school district. Big Eddy barges into the office Big Eddy: Ray, we got to get them out of here. The Boss men will be here in a minute. Somebody must have spilled the beans. Ray: Quick, go out this door and into the boat waiting for you. Good luck Delores. (They quickly leave out the back entrance and no sooner do they leave when the Boss and his henchmen barge into the office)
