Here is a vid of turning your boat into the waves, currents or getting quickly out of surf zone... note you can also do the same thing while leaning to one side and make a stroke in the water like you would be sculling for support stroke.. the boat will turn if leaned correctly to its edges, if you move your center of gravity away from the center of the boat while keeping your hips maintaining upright position.. In bigger chop you dont need to lean as much as the waves will give you support.. also uneven breaking waves will help you turn either bow or stern faster .. great for downwind action as well.. pressure is applied to face or back of the blade while maintaining the angle.. Awareness of the angles and movement with them is also a key for any roll.. if you dip the blade too much into the water.. there will be no resistance or reversed resistance and hence you pushing yourself under... Remember to control boat only with one thigh as if you apply boat thighs and legs.. you are negating the energy .. this applies again in rolling and basic control of the boat Great demonstration from Leon Somme from BBB (Body Boat Blade) https://youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sBVh6LquFYU
