Here is an Update on the North Cabot Interchange (Overpass): 1. Project management by the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and city; environmental and design underway 2. Engineering (environmental and design) by ICA Infrastructure Corporation of America and surveys by GarverUSA 3. Phase I is traffic signal and intersection reconstructed for interchange at SH 367 and SH 38, completed 10/23/2014 4. Due to the interchange, significant growth will mature in the northwest sector of the City between US 67/167 and SH 5 and north of SH 89 west due to available land for both commercial and residential development and being in the Cabot Water & Wastewater service provider area 5. Will provide north loop to the City of Cabot in order to relieve traffic workload on the city streets and highways, particularly Main Street through downtown 6. Significant economic development is expected to emanate from the interchange 7. Projected targets for completion: -Design Surveys completed June 2014, revised parcel surveys sent to consultant December 2014 -2nd quarter 2015 design, interstate break, and environmental 30% complete -Roadway & Bridge design 20% complete -3RD quarter 2015 right of way acquisition -4th quarter 2016 utility relocation -4th quarter 2016 advertisement and bid letting, -AHTD funding in 2016 / 2019 STIP Statewide Transportation Improvement Program -4th quarter 2018 construction complete -Ready for motoring public in 2019
