Here is an article with regards to the third-law school. People can criticise as much as they want, I am not bothered by them. Its a judgmental world out there. So be it if youre a law grad from Havard, NUS or UOL, you will always be judged and you will always be segregated into tiers. So, why bother? :) Ever since another fellow peer and I have started the ball rolling by writing in to ST Forum to highlight this issue with regards to allowing external law grads from UOL, we have already faced strong criticisms from the public, coming especially from local/overseas law grads and lawyers which are definitely not surprising for blatantly obvious reasons. ;) Whatever it is, like Ive said in response to one of the wall posts on this page, the battle is almost over and it is just pending finalisation now. Our victory is certain now with the confirmation by MinLaw to provide a conversion course for external law grads. (Well, unless they are gonna withdraw their plans....) But do take note that it was recommended to allow only 2nd Upper Honours for this conversion course, so those who still have a chance to achieve that, press on! Let this be your motivation, that is if you are keen to practise law in Singapore. For those who have already graduated and didnt meet the mark, my advice to you is to well, bulk up your working experience in the legal industry, or if you think that further your studies would help boost your chances, then go ahead :) Dont let such criticisms bring us down and march on! :) -Jean straitstimes/premium/forum-letters/story/third-law-school-may-create-two-tiered-profession-20131023
