Here is an email I sent to the Stafford Township Superintendent of schools and the members of the Board of Education after tonights ceremony. Good Evening, I just want to personally thank you for this evenings recognition. I appreciate the gesture but am truly happy that so many of the volunteers were able to come and be honored. What those people, and so many more like them, did and what they sacrificed in order to help others is beyond profound. Despite the colossal loss and devastation, the human kindness and compassion that came to the top of our community will always be a lasting legacy of the storm. I know that each of you is keenly aware of the amazing talent, dedication, and human spirit that is present in the staff and teachers in Stafford. But I just need to say how deeply moving it was to see teachers and staff from every grade level, subject area, child study team, cafeteria/playground, assistants, board members, family school liaisons, guidance counselors, parents, students, neighbors, and friends in the homes of Stafford pulling up carpeting and tearing down drywall. I will never again look at Roberta Fragale, kindergarten teacher, the same after seeing her haul appliances to the curb day after day. We are fortunate to have the caliber of human beings teaching and working with the children of Stafford that we have here. I have seen them come to the aid of those suffering and give freely of themselves. I thank you all once again for helping let them know how much they are truly valued. Sincerely, Michael Dunlea
