Here is an update from Malcolm on the road. Today he is walking through Glasgow. I have decided to interfere with his facebook pages. If you are a friend on his personal page dont look for much because he really doesnt ever go on facebook but I do so I will try and update this when I can! Rozanne Wednesday 31st October 2013 Well it has been quite a while since I have updated this Diary and I am residing in my borrowed Kontiki Motorhome on a farm west of Glasgow in a place called Kilbarchan! Please forgive me but, as I have explained several times, I am walking through the length and breadth of Scotland and it takes me into the wilds of our land, well away from Wi-Fi, internet and broadband access. This means my updates are somewhat sporadic, erratic and, oftentimes; brief. This one is no less so. I am aware if I try to write it as a diary, I succeed in confusing you (and myself), so I am going to write this update in the form of bullet points – Short and Sweet! I hope you don’t mind, but if you do – tough! Only kidding, I know you will extend much grace to me! · At Invergarry I meta lovely Christian lady (Helen) who I have been able to put in touch with jean Black of ‘Prayer for Scotland’ · Over the last few weeks I have witnessed to dozens and dozens of people. · I have given out ALL my own ‘Walk of the Ancient Path Gospel Brochure’ which is basically a subtle way of getting the Gospel (with my own testimony) out to people. · I have handed out probably hundreds of small Gospel tracts (I call Gospel seeds). The size of a credit card x2 (folded over to give 4 sides). It is a short but thorough explanation of the Gospel. These I give out often - but not willy-nilly. · I have given several ‘Minus to Plus’ (Reinhardt Bonnke) booklets. · I have given out several ‘Journey Into Life’ booklets (Classic Norman Warren) · I have given out several ‘The Father’s Love Letter’ printed by Pray for Scotland and several hundred given to me recently. · I have had on average around 6 really good, solid conversations a day, with people on buses, streets and in Parking Bays at the side of the road. · I have sat and listened and prayed for people with all kinds of needs and having experienced all kinds of tragedies. · I have spoken at a couple of small meetings and churches. · I was asked to join with and share with ‘Pray for Scotland’ annual Staff Retreat at YWAM Seamills, W Kilbride and also a visit to a Celtic Christian Centre in Arran. · I was given the opportunity to pray for a couple of people who were backslidden away from the Lord and see them restored. · I had the most wonderful time of Fellowship with an elderly lady ‘Stateswoman of the Faith.’ She also took me to church, gave me lunch and blessed me with free nights at her Campsite as well as a ‘gift’ of money to help along the way! · The same lady came to see me on the evening of Monday 28th as I was leaving the next day. We talked and prayed for hours and, to top it all, she was gloriously ‘Baptised in the Holy Spirit’ with full evidence of speaking in tongues! 83 and ON FIRE FOR JESUS! What a wonderful time we had! · I metand encouraged another elderly man who told me he used to be a; ‘Fisher of men’ until he went away from God after the death of his wife and sister within a short space of each other. I believe I was sent to enlist him back into the Fleet and exhorted him to take up his net again just as I left him to get off at my stop. · I metand got a short opportunity to witness (but moreover he took a tract off me), to MY NEIGHBOUR from Gatehouse. Both Roz and I had been praying for an opportunity to share with him and here I ended up at a Viewpoint in Glencoe, got talking to a young man taking a picture and then he said; ‘Don’t you know me, my dad lives next door to you and he’s in my car!’ Imagine…. God brought him, and me, miles off our beaten track for another ‘God-incident.’ · I have walked on average around 17 miles a day. · I have prayed for hours en route. · I have prayed in tongues for hours en route. · I have worshipped all through Scotland and moreover at the highest possible physical spot – at the very top of Ben Nevis! · I prayed for our nation from the top of Ben Nevis. · I worshipped with hands outstretched and voice singing at the top of Ben Nevis. It was very misty so not too many people saw this daft sight! · I also staked a stake claiming 1,000,000 souls for Jesus HERE in Scotland at the top of Ben Nevis. · I have sung, prayed, worshipped, laughed and cried bitter tears of repentance for both myself and my nation. · I have had a visit from family who joined me. Natasha came to Fort William for a weekend to join me. · I spent a late afternoon and evening with Joshua my eldest son and Grace my eldest daughter just yesterday (Wednesday 30th October)! · I’ve been soaked inside and out. · Witnessed to every Campsite owner I have stayed with. · I have washed n dried clothes in sinks, shower bases and a proper washing machine (the day before yesterday). · I have been lonely but never alone. In company of friends old and new. Talked to waitresses, shopkeepers, road-workers, Burger-van venders, Bus drivers, lorry drivers, doctors and even preachers! · My trusty ‘Staff’ has been with me all the way – now around 380 miles! EVERY inch ‘on foot’. · I’ve cried myself to sleep, I’ve sung myself to sleep, I’ve been asleep before I even saw my bed and oftentimes I have fallen into bed like a rag-doll - tired but loved…. Oh How Jesus loves us!! Right now I have had a ‘forced rest-day’ as money ran out and I was grounded. Yet, I wasn’t grounded as, yet again God came through for us, but by the time Roz told me, I had missed the opportunity to get connecting buses. I concluded God wanted me here and I have had a fruitful day tidying, sorting literature (I’ve none of my own A4 Brochure tracts left!). I have written up diaries, checked out routes, made loads of calls and texts etc. and prayed today. Halloween - How sad the world is so blinded from the truth of New, Abundant and Eternal Life ‘In Jesus’, in exchange for a few trinkets and candies. A night where all over the country the more serious devil worshippers and witches practise their black arts and slip deeper and deeper into deception and utter darkness! When I realised the date early this morning I decided to fast and pray. To be honest my praying has been from within rather than loud and vocal cries. In fact I think I was led to fast myself rather than God specifically instruct me. I know there is power in fasting and I am sure God will have used it in me as He will have with others who this day have been led to ‘stand in the gap’, but I am also very acutely aware SATAN IS NO MATCH FOR GOD! Prayer and fasting or not! God doesn’t need my feeble self-denials to gain victory over his old enemy, the fallen, dethroned prince - once glorious in beauty and splendour, now reeling in defeat from Calvary and waiting, with an unexplainable terror and fear, his soon coming judgement and final banishment to the lake of fire in hell! No, my appetite may be supressed for now, but soon I will come off my period of self-denial and enjoy a plate of Beans and Toast! You may laugh but it will taste like the most delicate culinary delight to me tonight and give me the much needed energy I will require for my 17.5 mile walk tomorrow. John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. JESUS is the light of the world and HE IS IN PROCESS OF SHINING THAT LIGHT UPON THIS NATION AGAIN! The verses in Isaiah above were given me quite a while ago for this nation. JESUS WILL BE WORSHIPPED, ADORED AND PREACHED ACROSS THIS LAND ONCE AGAIN! AND, I BELIEVE YOU AND I WILL SEE IT! GLORY TO GOD! So, goodnight and God Bless you this dreicht night and may you know Jesus’ love, grace, mercy and intimate presence this night and, in spite of the efforts of the deluded, may you sleep in peace and rest. Yours for the Harvest Malcolm
