Using computers used to be so simple: you chose a orange or green sceen, then decided if you were going to be a Banker or a Prospector, got bitten by a snake and died. Simple. 2. I feel bad for all the kids out there who will never know the terrifying panic of calling their crush on a landline and having their Mom answer. 3. Shout out to all those who came before us and wrote the answers in the text books! 4. Today’s kids have movies that entertain them like Rio 2 and The Lego Movie. When I was a kid movies were specifically meant to traumatize us: Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Return to Oz, Legend…nightmares for free. 5. I’m still kind of pissed they never told us how to get to Sesame Street. 6. Kids today have a lot of sweet stuff to play with…but they will never know the joy of hitting play and record at the EXACT moment your song comes on to complete the perfect mix tape. 7. I wish things could be easy like they used to be, a boy wrote you a note, you got married on the playground, then he’s your boyfriend. 8. My boss doesn’t see “the value” in starting our meetings with “Head’s up 7 Up.” He lacks vision. 9. Just think, someday our kids will probably go to a dance themed “2000” where they’ll wear Von Dutch hats, “wife beater tank-tops,” and tapered satin pants with chunky highlighted hair while they grind on each other to “The Thong Song.” More @ Murdersalad
