Here is my approach to teaching in short: 1) describe the principles and some context behind what you are teaching 2) demonstrate it, in detail, until there is a clear representation 3) get the learner to practice it, focus on emphasizing how the principle applies as you give pointers and critiques 4) require them to perform the action withing a controlled context 5) require them to recognize the context and decide which action to perform 6) repeat, adding new information
